It's Freeeeeezing Daddy!

Chris wanted to see what River thought of the lake water. I think secretly he was hoping he'd be up surfing this summer already. Hahaha... I think he takes after his mamma with the show he put on! And all he did was dip his feet in!

Summer Time Love

When friends and their new baby come to town from far far far away..... Its such a great excuse to have a backyard full of more friends and babies over to visit with each other. The barbeque was crammed to its limit, it was a gorgeous evening, and love was in the air! What a great Monday!

Remember When's

This past weekend was my 10 year high school reunion. I can't even believe time has just zipped by that fast. I am both amazed at how much has changed but then in some ways am so amazed at how much hasn't! People look so much the same! It was way less of a big deal than I imagined at graduation time, and unfortunately didn't get to see lots that I would have liked to see. But there were memories to be shared. Laughs to be had. Family members to introduce... And the best part... keeping a few close friends close..... made all the difference. Cheers to St. Joseph High School, Class of 2000. Or I guess we are the class of ZERO lol....

My Girl. A Monologue

Sometimes I just love a movie, or a play, or a book. I re-read or re-watch it over and over and then parts just stick. This has happened a lot growing up. Maybe its a bit quirky... but I can still recite totally random things today. Take this movie monologue from the opening scene in a childhood favorite movie called, "My Girl" . I think its kinda funny. This is Veda..... The my girl of the movie...

"I was born jaundice. Once I sat on a toilet seat at a truck stop and got hemorrhoids. And I've learned to live with this chicken bone that's been lodged in my throat for the past 3 years. So I knew dad would be devastated when he learned of my latest affliction. "Dad, I don't mean to upset you, but my left breast is developing at a significantly faster rate than my right. It can only mean one thing... Cancer... I'm dying."

I just thought this was so cool.....And I don't really know why... lol....She's so dramatic... Such a creative little hypochondriac, because her dad ran a funeral home. and her mom died... Could you blame her?
