I'm not sure what i find so captivating about yellow fields. I know little to nothing about farms which is kind of embarrassing when you grow up in the prairies. I know that those yellow fields are either mustard or canola. And i only know that canola is yellow because my husband told me so. But regardless, those vibrant yellow field contrasted against a gray sky or a bright blue one makes driving down our prairie highways something of pure beauty. Old barns, trains passing along as you drive, cattle munching... all things that just make it feel like home inside. Hay bales are something else that I just LOVE. Seeing them all rolled up and spread one by one in a field is something that I have always thought was so cool. I just get giddy about them. Seeing them is quite a novelty to me. My husband thinks its quirky. He went as far as to call it "creepy." But he did stop so I could take a picture or three and if you know my husband that is not something that happens very often. The last time he stopped for me to get a picture it was of a gigantic egg and I'm pretty sure he only gave in because i was very big and pregnant! haha Here are a few pictures of one of many summer prarie drives.
